    DAY 01

    Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2652m/8699ft) Duration: 3 hours

    Today, we will fly to Lukla and hike up to Phakding. It’s going to be a great adventure, and we know you’re going to love it. Before we get started, let’s take a minute to discuss some of the details. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is about 30 minutes, and from there, we will be trekking for three hours.

    As we ascend steadily towards Phakding, we follow a path along the Dudh Kosi River. It is a great way to get acclimated to the altitude, and it is suitable for trekkers who don’t have much experience. The trail offers stunning views of the mountains surrounding us.

    We’ll also pass through small villages of Ghat and Monjo, where locals will be out and about doing their daily chores. We will eventually reach Phakding, where we will stay in a comfortable guest house for the night. We will enjoy dinner and a good night’s rest after a long day’s trekking.

    DAY 02

    Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft) Duration: 6 hours

    After a hearty morning breakfast and packing our backpacks, we head off on an exciting journey towards Namche Bazar with an elevation of 3,440m (11,283ft).

    We cross the beautiful Dudh Koshi River and make our way through the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we get a chance to witness some of the most stunning landscapes in the world. As we ascend the trail, we come across several Sherpa villages – Monjo, Jorsale, and others.

    The trail gradually becomes steeper as we gain altitude. If we’re lucky, we might spot some animals or rare species of birds along the way. As we continue our march, the grand snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas come into view. On a clear day, we can even get a glimpse of the majestic Mount Everest.

    After six hours of trekking, we finally reach Namche Bazaar, with its Sherpa village homes and bustling atmosphere. Here, we spend the night to acclimatize and prepare for our next adventure.

    DAY 03

    Acclimatize in Namche Bazaar and visit Everest View Hotel & Return

    Today, we take our time to allow our bodies to adjust to the altitude and acclimatize. While strolling around Namche Bazar, we experience the sights, sounds, and smells of this bustling mountain city filled with lodges, hotels, retail stores, and cyber cafes.

    We’ll also trek to the Everest View Hotel for lunch and enjoy some of the best views of Everest we’ve ever seen – Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Tawach. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the hotel, taking in the incredible views and taking some amazing photos.

    We’ll return to Namche before evening to rest and relax again. Our evening will be spent eating, chatting and exchanging stories with fellow travelers from around the world. The next day, we continue our journey and leave Namche behind, vowing to return soon to explore this magical and awe-inspiring place.

    DAY 04

    Trek to Tengboche (3860m/12660ft) Duration: 5 hours

    On Day 4 of the Everest Base Camp Helipad Tour, we will trek to Tengboche, a picturesque village located at an elevation of 3860m/12660ft. The trek will take around 5 hours, during which we will be treated to breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

    We will also cross a thrilling suspension bridge along the way, which adds an extra layer of thrill. We will visit Tengboche Monastery upon reaching the region. This is the largest monastery in the region. It is also a religious site for the local Sherpa community.

    In Tengboche monastery, we will see beautiful prayer flags and Mani walls. Inside the monastery are many cultural and religious artifacts to be explored and admired. In the evening, we can take in the stunning sunset views from Tengboche as we conclude our day of trekking. It will be a perfect way to finish off a great day as the sun sets over the spectacular Himalayan mountains, and we’ll have wonderful memories.

    DAY 05

    Trek to Dingboche (4410m/14464ft) Duration: 5 hours

    Today, we will start our trek from Tengboche to Dingboche. The trek is challenging, but the scenery is absolutely stunning. We will follow the Imja Khola river and pass through rhododendron and juniper forests.

    As we continue to climb, we will reach the windswept fields of Dingboche, which are mainly used for potato farming. This village is located at an elevation of 4410 meters (14464 feet), so it’s better to take it easy and acclimatize to the altitude.

    Once we arrive in Dingboche, we’ll check into our accommodations and have some time to relax and explore the village. We can take a stroll through the potato fields and enjoy the incredible mountain views that surround us. Overnight in Dingboche.

    DAY 06

    Acclimatization at Dingboche & Visit Nagerjun (5100m/16728ft) and return Duration: 6 hours

    Our goal today is to acclimatize at Dingboche and to take the much-needed break to rest during today’s walk. Dingboche is situated at an altitude of 4,410 m and offers breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. The village is surrounded by rugged and snow-covered mountains, making it the perfect place to take in the stunning scenery.

    Afterward, we will take a short hike to Nagerjun, a mountain at an altitude of 5,100 meters. Nagerjun can be reached after a walk of about three to four hours round trip from Nagerjun. Upon reaching the summit, the views are nothing short of breathtaking, with 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayas all around you. Plus, the hike itself provides an excellent opportunity to test your endurance and push yourself further.

    Alternatively, if you are a true mountaineering enthusiast, Island Peak offers an incredible challenge. This peak rises to an elevation of 6,160 meters and provides some of the most incredible views of the Himalayan range. The hike to the peak is quite challenging and is recommended only for those with mountaineering experience.

    DAY 07

    Trek to Lobuche (4910m/16105ft) Duration: 5 hours

    Continuing our trek towards Lobuche, we will tackle the last stretches of our journey today, after conquering several challenging climbs and crossing numerous high passes.

    The trek to Lobuche will take us around 5 hours and is 8.4 kilometers in distance, approximately 5.2 miles. What makes this day special is that Lobuche sits at a staggering altitude of 4910m (16105ft). That’s 500 meters higher than our current altitude at Dingboche!

    After the small break, we will ascend the steep hill that leads us to Lobuche. The climb will be quite challenging but the views it offers us will be well worth the effort. From here, we will be greeted with stunning panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, and many more.

    As soon as we reach Lobuche, we can rest, explore the many shops, and enjoy the local cuisine. We will also be able to talk to other trekkers, share our experiences of the journey, and stay overnight here.

    DAY 08

    Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft) & back to Gorakshep (5181m/16994ft) Duration: 8 hours

    Today marks an exciting day on our trek as we make our way to the iconic Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft). After enjoying an early breakfast in Gorakshep, we begin the trek to base camp.

    As we make our way to the base camp, we will be able to take in the incredible views of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic Mount Everest in the background. Once we reach the base camp, we will have some time to take photos and take in the spectacular views. We will then begin our trek back to Gorakshep, passing through the Khumbu Icefall, one of the most dangerous sections of the climb.

    After a long and challenging trek, we will be happy to arrive back at Gorakshep, where we can rest and get a good night’s sleep.

    DAY 09

    Hiking to Kalapatthar (5545m/18188ft) – Gorakshep helipad – Kathmandu by Helicopter

    We’ll begin today’s hike by heading up to Kalapatthar, which stands at an elevation of 5,545m (18,188ft). This mini peak offers stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and Cho Oyu.

    Once we’ve taken time to admire the amazing views and take some great photos, we’ll make our way to Gorakshep, the final stop on the trek. Here we’ll have a great lunch, pack up and take off from Gorakshep on a scenic helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. Our flight will give us a final glimpse of the mighty Himalayas and the incredible journey we have just experienced.
