Since September is the month of Autumn, it is one of the popular months for trekking. September is the beginning month of Autumn after the monsoon which results in a clean atmosphere and a clear view of mountains.

Weather and Temperature

During September, the weather in Annapurna Base Camp is of 2 types i.e. early September and late September. The early September lasts for the first 2 weeks of the month when you will experience the rain of the previous monsoon. The weather will be stable in late September through trekking is possible for the whole month. After the second week, the weather becomes more stable which provides less chance of snowfall and rainfall. The temperature in Annapurna Base Camp is usually freezing temperature however you will experience different weather conditions. Generally, the temperature during September is 4 degrees celsius to 7 degrees celsius. The temperature during day time is mild which is suitable for trekking and at night temperature drops to zero.

The atmosphere during September is clear, clean and free from dust due to the previous monsoon which offers clear closeup views of spectacular Himalayas without any disturbance. Difficulties of Annapurna Base Camp during September

Annapurna Base Camp is not extremely difficult but not easy as well. Some of the difficulties that you will face during the Annapurna Base Camp trek are listed below:

Weather

Weather in Nepal is not constant, especially in September. The first two weeks of the  month are supposed to be rainy and cloudy which causes challenges for trekking. And after the second week the weather will be clean and nice. But you can be 100% sure so prepare for any challenges caused from the weather. 

Altitude

Altitude is another challenge during the Altitude Base Camp which lies at the altitude of 4150 meters. You might face some attitude problems like altitude sickness. So you need to take proper acclimatization time and way slowing  with gradually increasing altitude. You need to be hydrated while trekking. 

Temperature at Night

The temperature during the day is warm and mild for trekking. But at night the temperature is very cold and freezing. Similarly, at night there is a high chance of rainfalls. Cold temperatures can cause challenges if you haven’t carried warm gears.
