Limi valley trek is the trail practiced in Humla. Humla is the less developed part of our country Nepal. It lies in the northern part of our country Nepal. Due to the matrimonial relationship between Tibet and the western part of Nepal this valley is the only place where you can find the vibrant culture of the Tibetan and their lifestyle.
Your trek start from the salt trading and pilgrimage route to the border of Nepal and China by crossing the Nara La Pass (15000ft/4620m) Nyalu La(16000ft/4900m) with the amazing view of many mountains.

The best time for this trek is May to October because at this time the mountains are covered with snow and the view will be eye-catching. This trek was started in 2002 and this has covered the border area on Tibet in fae west Nepal. Most of the people in this region are Buddhist and they follow the old Buddhist culture. Agriculture and animal husbandry are the main economic source of the people living in this region.
In this trek, you will face various challenging high passes and trails. A special permit is required for trekking in this valley to protect the culture and ecosystem. This area also has protected many flora and fauna so that the future generation also can use them. This trek cost from $2,850.00 to $3,500.00 for 18 -19 days depends upon Itinerary.
In this area, you can find the more than 100 years old Buddhist tradition that still exists. The people of that area are like the Tibetan neighbor rather than the Hindu neighbors. You can see mountains like Mt.saipal, Byas, Rishi, Api, Kanjirowa, and Kanti of Nepal and also the Mt.Kailash across the border in Tibet during this trek.
In this trek, you can see the yak farming, waterfalls, and the various interesting villages. Yak Kharka(4900m) which is known as the viewpoint of this region. From that point, you can see the stunning view of Mount Kailash in Tibet.
Before trekkers were allowed to continue their trek along mount Kailash but this was stopped by the Chinese government. You can see various proof like prayer flags and mani stones that shows the ties between Humla and Tibet and also the 1000 years old Rizing Ling Gompa and awsome stone villages.
As you, the Humla is a very remote area and due to this you cannot see many tourists in this trekking route but it has a unique trek experience giving capacity. In the spring and summer season, you can see very few tourists in this region. This trekking route must be developed and the resources must be used properly then it has a high scope in the tourism market.
