In 2022 the civil aviation authority of Nepal decided that the flight to Lukla to be operated from Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu. As the air traffic in Kathmandu was very heavy. The Ramechhap airport has a runway of 518m. The elevation at which Ramechhap Manthali is located is 474m.
