Itinerary
DAY 01
Arrival in Kathmandu via various international airlines and transfer to hotel.
On fresh arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport received by staff and guide with short transfer into the heart of Kathmandu city around exciting areas at Thamel where your hotels situated, here our guide will brief about treks and other necessary information regarding your stay and of the treks.
DAY 02
In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour around world heritage sites.
A free day in Kathmandu after breakfast join in our exciting and interesting sightseeing tour led by our expert city guide to show you the historical wonders of Nepal within world heritage sites, after a great and enjoyable tour with time for trek preparations.
DAY 03
Drive to Syabrubesi 1,495 m- 06 hrs.
Morning starts with overland journey on leaving Kathmandu city and the valley heading due north past many farm villages and interesting town from warmer areas to cooler zone on reaching at Dhunche, a headquarter town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal.
At Dhunche start of Langtang National Park which is the first mountainous park established way back in mid 1970’s enriched with exotic flora and fauna, from here heading down to Syabrubesi village for overnight stop.
DAY 04
Trek to Lama Hotel 2,455 m - 06 hrs.
First day walk leads to cross a bridge then climb towards farm terraces and smaller villages and entering into cool shade of forest to reach at a wide open area in the middle of dense tree lines of rhododendron and pines trees at a place called Lama Hotel for overnight stop.
DAY 05
Trek to Langtang Village 3,435 m-05 hrs.
From this isolated spot walk leads into thick woodland with chances of spotting some wild-life like deer or the endangered and elusive Red Panda often seen on route treks around the area, as walk follows Langtang River to reach at nice spot in Ghoretabla.
After a refreshing break or lunch stop, afternoon walk for another few hours within forested surrounding to reach at Langtang village for overnight stop, populated by Tamang people, the main hill tribes of Langtang and Central Himalaya interwoven with Buddhism teaching and culture.
DAY 06
Trek to Kyanjin 3,800m - 04 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight stop at Langtang village today walk for few hours to reach at Kyanjin located within beautiful Langtang valley, walk on gradual ups after leaving the forested area behind for wide and open country enclosed within high snow capped peaks.
As walk progress reaching our first highlight of the adventure at Kyanjin situated in the midst of Langtang valley facing wonderful views and scenery of mountains and rolling hill, at Kyanjin transfer into a nice lodge for overnight stops.
DAY 07
At Kyanjin option hike to Kyanjin-Ri 4,773 m or Tsergo-Ri 4,984 m
At Kyanjin free day for acclimatization before heading towards high Gosainkund and over the pass, here with time for short or long hike to scenic view point hills of Kyanjin Ro or Tsergo-Ri offers excellent views of whole Langtang mountain range as far towards Jugal Himal with Dorji Lakpa and some peaks of Tibetan side.
DAY 08
Trek to Lama Hotel -06 hrs.
Retrace the journey back to Lama Hotel after an enjoyable and fascinating time around Kyanjin within scenic Langtang Valley, where walk leads you on same trail with chances to catch interesting surrounding views.
DAY 09
Trek to Thulo Syabru 2,120 m - 05 hrs
From Lama Hotel walks follows downhill to a place at Riverside, after refreshing break enjoying views then climb up for few hours to Thulo Syabru (means larger for Thulo) for last overnight around Langtang Himal.
Here with to enjoy short visit around Tamang village and observe the local culture and farm traditional life.
DAY 10
Trek to Sing Gompa - Chandanbari 3,325 m - 05 hrs.
A nice village for overnight stops at Thulo Syabru and observing Tamang culture and its traditional custom.
From this farm village morning leads to steep climb into dense forest of rhododendron and pine trees for few hours facing grand views of Langtang-Ganesh and Manaslu peaks.
Walk leads on gradual winding path into forest to reach at a lovely small settlement at Sing Gompa for overnight stop, also called as Chandanbari (means place with sandalwood).
DAY 11
Trek to Gosainkund Lake 4,200 m/ 13,779 ft- 05 hrs.
From Sing Gompa a place with old monastery which is situated on top of a village, as walk meanders with climb lading into deep forest with fantastic views of snowcapped peaks, as tree lines disappears for short bushes.
Where climb continue on steep slope past small scenic hill top of Laurabinaya, and then short descend to reach a lake called Bhairab Kund and up for to holy Gosainkund for overnight stop.
An interesting spot with sacred glacial pond where once a year in the month of August on full moon great religious festivals take place called ‘Jani-purnima’ thousands of pilgrims visit for holy dip and bathe in icy Gosainkund pond.
DAY 12
Trek to Gopte 3,430m via high Lauribinya-La / Gosainkund pass 4,610 m - 06 hrs.
Enjoying holy and spiritual moments at sacred pond of Gosainkund morning walk with climb on rocky trails past small ponds of Surya and Sarsati-kund (pond) to reach on top East Lauribinya-La and Gosainkund pass at 4,610 m / 15,124 ft high.
Enjoy fabulous scenery of landscapes and snow-capped peaks where long descend takes you at the bottom of the pass.
From the bottom of Gosainkund-la pass hill, then walk to reach back into forested area with few short ups and down to reach at Gopte for overnight stop, a small place situated on the middle of the trail where Gopte refers to a cave shelter.
DAY 13
Trek to Kutumsang 2,470 m - 06 hrs.
After a peaceful overnight stop in a basic and simple lodge, morning leads to slow and steady climb to reach where path from Helambu and Kathmandu meets at Tadepatti a scenic and high ridge.
From Tadepatti facing grand panorama of Central Himalaya peaks walk on nice and pleasant path and into forest of pine and rhododendron trees to reach a farm village of Kutumsang for overnight stop.
DAY 14
Trek to Chisapani 2,165 m- 06 hrs.
From Kutumsang today a long day walk that leads you on high scenic ridge with super views of beautiful landscape and mountain range of Jugal Himal, where walk continues past village of Gulbhanjyang, as route takes you ups and down then with last slow climb on top Chisapani for overnight stop.
A scenic place with good lodges to stay facing excellent views of peaks includes stunning sunrise and sunset views.
DAY 15
Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu - 05 hrs.
Morning catching beautiful sunrise over chain of Himalayan peaks, where last day walks leads to long descend into dense forest and past farm villages to reach at Sundarijal.
Sundarijal the watershed for Kathmandu city, from the town of Sundarijal where short drive brings you back at Kathmandu on completing wonderful adventure on Langtang and Gosainkund Trekking and then transfer to your respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for individual activities.
DAY 16
International departure for homeward bound.
Last day in the country of high Himalaya and colorful culture, our guide and staff transfer you to the airport for your international flight homeward bound or to next respective destinations after a glorious time and experience on Langtang Valley and Gosainkund Trekking.
